Detailed information:
Create redirection ports that are the same copies of redirected ones and thus capture all data streams between serial port device and application.
- Work with serial hardware/software without changing its settings. The usual number of serial ports present in your system may not appear enough for your needs. And, as you know, some hardware units or software application have settings that cannot be easily modified. In such situations Advanced COM Port Redirector will fit as a fiddle. It will create additional (virtual) serial ports which you may use instead of real ones. All data sent to redirected COM port would be received by redirection port and vice versa.
- Fully monitor serial port activity. Serial Port Monitor will easily track all data streams that go through serial COM port. However, some data streams go under the monitor, escaping monitoring. Using Advanced COM Port Redirector you can create an additional redirection port and all data streams will be redirected to it. Thus, monitoring the redirection port no data piece will escape your capturing.
- Duplicate all signal lines. Virtual serial ports created with Advanced COM Port Redirector emulate and support all usual hardware signal lines (DTR/DSR, RTS/CTS, RING, ERROR, DCD, etc.) As in real null-modem connection, DTR of the local port connected to DSR and DCD of the remote port, and RTS of the local port connected to CTS of the remote port.
